Must be requested only the Criminal Record Certificate issued with photograph and fingerprints by the "Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)" in Ottawa (1200 Vanier Parkway, Ottawa ON K1A0R2), which is obtained following the steps of this link of the "RCMP" (click here).
Then the said certificate in its "original" version must be authenticated directly (without passing previously by a notary public) by "DFAIT" in Ottawa (click here for more information about the authentication by DFAIT).
Important: DFAIT has informed to this Consulate General that the RCMP certificate mentioned above must not be previously authenticated by a notary public to request the authentication from DFAIT.
Once completed the steps mentioned in the preceding paragraphs, you can require the consular legalization of the cerminal record certificate at this Consulate General, according to the procedure mentioned below.
PROCEDURE FOR THE CONSULAR LEGALIZATION:
1. Send the original document, accompanied by this form, already completed and signed.
2. Certified Cheque or Money Order payable to the: "Consulate General of Argentina", per each document. Check the consular fees here.
3. The documents will be processed and returned in 5 working days. Rush process legalizations are issued within 48 hs. and they are subject to the rush process service fee per each document. Check the legalization fee here.
3. You may submit the documents:
3.1 By mail, including a prepaid envelope or courier slip, with the waybill duly completed, to return the documents to you, unless it is picked up personally at our office. We recommend you write down the number of the tracking number of the envelope you are enclosing to us.
3.2. Directly at this Consulate General in office hours from Monday to Friday from 9.30 hs to 12.30 hs.
